Rev. Margaret Decker, Senior Pastor

Margaret  is a second-career pastor. She taught elementary school for 14 years throughout the state of Texas. Both her undergraduate degree and her Master’s of Divinity degree are from Southern Methodist University. She has served both in local church ministry and as a chaplain in hospital and long-term care facility settings. She came to Trinity in June of 2010. She enjoys local church ministry—preaching, teaching, and pastoral care. She looks forward to working with Trinity in ministry to the community.

Maria Medrano, Children's Sunday School Song Leader

Born in Chesterfield, MO. Maria attented Trinity United Methodist pre-school and elementary school. Her activities prepared her to become the Children's Sunday School Song Leader. Maria was a member of the pre-school Cherub Choir here at Trinity. She attended several music classes, has had some years of piano lessons, five and a half years in the Children's Chorus of San Antonio. Maria is a member of the handbell choir and the youth choir. Music has been a very big part of Maria's life. She is now in the Advanced Treble Choir at Health Careers. Maria lives in San Antonio with her parents, Joe and Connie Medrano.

Jason Brown,  Youth and Chancel Choir Director


Joined Trinity in 2009.  Jason also teaches middle school music in the NISD. He earned his Bachelor's of Music Education from UTSA.

Stacie Brown, Handbell Choir Director

Joined Trinity and started the handbell choir in 1994.  Stacie earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a Music Specialization at UTSA.  She gained her handbell music expertise through several workshops and clinical courses.  Stacie lives in San Antonio with her son, Tyler.

Cynthia Galang, Administrative Assistant


Cynthia has been the Administrative Assistant since 2010. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, major in Banking and Finance, from Centro Escolar University in Manila, Philippines.

Becky Thaxton

Becky is the Children’s Ministry Director of Trinity United Methodist Church.  She is a retired elementary educator of 30 years.  She is also a certified lay speaker in the United Methodist Church.  She believes that children are our future; and a religious foundation is important for the whole growth of the child.  She is blessed to work with and for the children of Trinity United Methodist Church.  She has been a member of Trinity United Methodist Church since August 20, 2006.  Becky lives in San Antonio with her husband Dean.

Jared May, Director of Youth Ministries

Jared recently returned after previously being the Youth Director at Colonial Hills UMC. He was Interim Youth Director in 2007 at Trinity UMC. He is a bi-vocational employee, also working as a Transportation Specialist for Well Med Medical Group here in San Antonio.  He attended two years at San Antonio College working towards an Associates in Criminal Justice.  He has worked in Youth Ministry for over six years, and  had training in certification courses for Youth ministry from The Perkins School of Youth Ministry and attended multiple workshops and conferences focused on Youth.  He is currently attending Concordia University studying for a BA in Human Resource Management.

Debra Schneider,  Director of Trinity United Methodist School

Debra has been Director of Trinity United Methodist School since 2003. She graduated fromTexas A&M University at College Station in 1984 with a degree in Education.  She taught in North East ISD for ten years. Debra lives in San Antonio with her husband, Bob, and two children, Mitchell and Kelsi.

Joined Trinity in December 1995. She went to college in Nevada, Missouri.  Connie is a member of the chancel choir and the bell choir. She takes care of the Godly Play story manipulatives and also help with the youth.  The church and school have kept her as a certified food service provider and kitchen coordinator.  Connie lives in San Antonio with her husband, Joe,  and her daughter, Maria.

Jeanette Brown, Volunteer

Jeanette is our Monday volunteer in the church office.  She currently serves as the recording secretary on the Permanent Endowment Fund Committee.

Twila Icenogle, Volunteer

Joined Trinity in 1975.  Twila is our Tuesday volunteer in the church office.   She is also the church historian, serves on the Family Life ministry and a member of the chancel choir . Twila lives in San Antonio with her husband, Bob and her son, Richard.

Harriet Phillips, Volunteer

Harriet is our Thursday volunteer in the church office.  Joined Trinity in 1978.  She is a member of  the chancel choir, the handbell choir, and is the choir's librarian.  She has twice served as chair of the Worship Committee, has been chaperone for the youth, including serving for a week at U.M.A.R.M.Y.  Harriet is currently serving as secretary on the Board of Trustees. Harriet lives in San Antonio with her husband, Tom and her son, Brian.
