HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio (HFHSA) is an ecumenical Christian non-profit housing organization that partners with low-income families who would not otherwise be able to afford a house. It helps families to build affordable housing for themselves and their families at no interest and no profit.  It is not a charity or "hand out" program, but one that helps families to help themselves.

SAN ANTONIO CROP WALK FOR HUNGER

Crop Walk was a huge success again!
You can still donate online at:

IMAGINE NO MALARIA

Imagine No Malaria is the United Methodist church-wide effort to overcome malaria in Africa and eliminate deaths caused by this preventable disease, a goal world leaders hope to accomplish by 2015. Our efforts may have started with sending mosquito nets, but they do not stop there.  In addition to preventing malaria with bed nets, eliminating deaths caused by this disease will require educating communities and health care workers, developing health care infrastructure and making advancements in health care communications. Imagine No Malaria will create a stronger and more broad-based community health infrastructure to help The United Methodist Church in the fight against diseases of poverty.  Nothing But Nets remains a key component of the campaign against malaria.

MEALS ON WHEELS

Meals on Wheels is a program to feed the homebound and the elderly, administered by Senior Christian Services. At the present time, we are looking for a coordinator and people to deliver the meals.  The present coordinators have been faithfully serving Christ as coordinator for about ten years and have asked for a replacement.  If you are interested in delivering or coordinating, please contact Senior Christian Services at 210-735-5115.  Also, donations and help on the third Tuesday of every other month for the SAMM's transitional living center dinner are welcomed here at Trinity UMC. Please call John Reed 296-8866.

COME GROW WITH US!!!

Welcome to Trinity Garden.  We are truly blessed to be a part of this community and organization.  Trinity United Methodist is one of several churches across the country that planted vegetable gardens for the first time this spring.  The food that is grown here will go directly to the food bank of San Antonio.
Visit us at www.trinitygarden.org.

   2011 Zimbabwe Mission

Mission to Zimbabwe - where we are helping to construct the water well.
The water well we're involved in needs electricity for the pump. They won't be able to raise all the funds needed to solve this. But they do intend to do what they can.  The water well includes getting electricity connected so that we can pump water using electric pump.  Please contact Tendekai Muzorewa at 320-0862 or Mary Holland at 210-492-8711 for additional questions.
