4th Sunday Offerings in May Russia Initiative Seminary Russia Initiative Makes Impact, but More Help Needed The initiative, operated through the United Methodist Board of Global Ministries, provides a way for individuals, work teams and congregational delegations to travel to the region, establish partnerships with groups from cities and towns, and then to nurture those relationships. Besides the board, a number of United Methodist agencies and related institutions participate in the initiative. Life has never been easy due to recent crisis placed on most Russians at poverty level. Some view the situation as so critical they are turning their minds back to communist ideas, and many believe that even their children will not experience a stable economy or government."The Russia Initiative cannot give food to all the hungry, but the secret of the program is in spiritual support," Bykov said. The initiative is making a difference through programs such as the establishment of orphanages, facilities for the handicapped, and food programs, he said. "Your mission will leave its trace in our history."

*Pentecost Sunday Pentecost Sunday is May 27th. This will be a very exciting time in the life of the congregation. There will be some very dramatic elements in both worship services. The 11:00 worship service will have additional elements of celebration. The Permanent Endowment Committee will present scholarships to three graduating seniors: Shalyn Sprague, Denise Wilson, and Maria Medrano. The committee is renewing the scholarships to Katie Ketchum and Danielle Van Zandt. All of these young ladies plan to be at the service. The United Methodist Women will recognize all of the 2012 high school graduates at the 11:00 service. Share in the celebrations on May 27th.
*Join us at Trinity, June 11th – 15th from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon for VBS at the Beehive. We will have scripture, stories, snacks, songs for all. VBS registration begins Sunday, May 6th. "Bee there or bee square”.
